Check out my handy guides to the Lake District to help plan your next trip

About me

Hi, I'm Matt, a fell runner, photographer and writer from the Lake District.

A keen(ish) walker from a young age, I discovered fell running in my twenties and, from then on, have run sedately over the fells ever since.

During one of my many running related injuries, which involved both breaking a toe and tearing my ankle, I took up landscape photography, a passion shared with my dad. A colossal juxtaposition from fell running, it taught me to properly look at landscapes and see the fells as more than things to run over. You can see my favourite images in gallery here or, for something more dynamic, you can watch timelapses from the fells here.

As well of running on and taking pictures of the fells, I also enjoy writing about them, having written for The Fellrunner, Running Int' Fells and UK Hillwalking. If you are interested in working with me on a copywriting project, you can get in touch here.

All that is left now is to say I hope you enjoy this site, and I hope it inspires your next Lake District adventure.

Matt
