Rannerdale Knotts: Lake District Walking Routes

Distance: 3.9 miles

Ascent: 1578ft

Fells:

Rannerdale Knotts: 1165ft

A nice forecast after work had me heading over to Buttermere for the sunset. It was one of those beautiful, warm summer evenings as I ascended Rannerdale Knotts. The light was soft and, on the return leg, pink clouds began to appear above Great Gable. I managed to get home, through the short section of woods just as the sun disappeared and long shadows filled the valley.
